My latest motivation has arrived via the Fitbit. This device motivates you to reach your health and fitness goals by tracking your activity, exercise, sleep, weight and more. Why is this important for monks? Well… it helps with wellness.

Here’s a digital toast to the first day of many wearing my FitBit. On the walk to meetings, at the weight room or in the last song of a performance. Somewhere between start and finish lines. Pillow time and pushing limits. That’s where you find fitness.

How you spend your day determines if/when you reach your goals. And seeing your progress focuses the mission and helps you see what’s possible.
